What's the best time to visit Djanet?
The best period is October to April, when temperatures are pleasant (15-25°C during the day). Avoid summer (June-August) when temperatures can exceed 45°C.
Do I need a visa for Algeria?
Yes, most nationalities need a visa. We assist you in the process with an official invitation letter. Processing time is generally 2-3 weeks.
What level of fitness is required?
Our treks are accessible to anyone in good health, able to walk 4-6 hours a day on varied terrain. No prior experience necessary. We adapt itineraries to your level.
What does the trip price include?
Our prices include: certified Tuareg guide, accommodation (bivouac/camp), all meals, local transport, mineral water, camping equipment. Not included: international flights, visa, travel insurance, tips.
How does payment work?
A €200 deposit is required upon booking (refundable up to 30 days before). Balance is payable 15 days before departure. Secure payment by bank card via Stripe.
What is the group size?
We favor small groups of 2 to 8 people for an authentic and personalized experience. Private trips are also possible on request.
Is the trip secure?
Yes, Djanet and Tassili are secure zones. Our guides know the terrain and local conditions perfectly. We are in constant contact with local authorities.
What equipment should I bring?
We provide a detailed list after booking. Essentials: hiking shoes, warm clothes for nights (0-5°C), sun protection, headlamp. We provide tents, mattresses and sleeping bags.
Is there phone network in the desert?
Network is available in Djanet but very limited in the desert. We have a satellite phone for emergencies. It's the perfect opportunity to disconnect!
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Free cancellation up to 30 days before departure (deposit refunded). Between 30-15 days: 50% refunded. Less than 15 days: non-refundable. We recommend cancellation insurance.
